ten things for today.

  1. i hate jewelry that turns copper after a few days of wearing it.
  2. it is really strange when many of your friends are on the same tour together.
  3. i am sick of living in the past and holding on to memories of careless people.
  4. i love music and concerts more than most things.
  5. i love being around little kidlets who remind me what joy is found in life.
  6. i both love and hate skype-ing with people. so awkward.
  7. i think we need to drill in the USA for oil. do it.
  8. i am ambivalent as to who should be our president.
  9. i need a good book to read NOW. in withdrawal.
  10. i would rather live wild and lonely than utterly domesticated.

What's: skype-ing?

I could search it, but I want you to tell me.

Second: Drilling in America? Really? Not focus time/money into other forms of energy? Why?

(Okay, that's not a fair question because it's a debate we could have for as long as you'd allow...)

And you didn't look ugly in the picture you posted on Monday. You looked happy. And dorky.

1] skype is a webcaming type of thing. it is an account you set up that is free. it is easier to coordinate with people, since some do not have macs, or do not have compatible IM programs/plugins.

2] i think we should still focus on other ways to save/conserve energy. but there is no reason not to drill in america. right now we are depending on foreign nations, most of whom we are at war with or whatnot, and therefore we are giving them money that they can therefore buy anything with (like weapons). makes no sense. also, things like ethanol has been proven to be pretty useless and is raising food prices all around the world. drilling now a days does far less damage to the surrounding enviroment. i see no reason not to drill. your thoughts?

3] i know. dorky is definitely right. happy is true as well. it was before my phone was stolen. :[ haha.

Yes, America should rely on it's own resources. We shouldn't be supporting other nations. We should support ourselves.

Ethanol doesn't make any sense. Well, it does -- but not long term. And not if you depend on ever eating corn again.

The offshore drilling debate has been timed nicely. A few months before the election with gas prices at record highs across America and two candidates split on the issue...What most people fail to realize is the benefits of offshore drilling won't take effect tomorrow. It could be years. Maybe even decades.

In the long run, if American's decide to sick with oil, offshore drilling may bring down the cost of gasoline for our generation's children. Not 'our.'

But do you really want to put time, energy, and money into something that isn't sustainable anyway? Seems like a waste.

Gas prices will probably never be the $1.02 I remember from when I was a child, but that's okay so long as we as a people continue to evolve.

We need to harness the power of renewable sources of energy. The sooner everyone becomes comfortable with that, the better.
